‘Take Five@UGent’ is een nieuw initiatief binnen de UGent om UGent'ers samen te brengen en zo 'over de muurtjes' van de eigen vakgroep, dienst, faculteit of directie te kijken.

Take Five @ UGent are three new yearly events to bring together staff of Ghent University from all faculties and the central administration.

‘Take Five@UGent’ wordt voortaan drie keer per jaar georganiseerd. De eerste editie vindt plaats aan de vooravond van Dies Natalis, de tweede editie volgt net voor de zomervakantie; de derde editie in het najaar.
Op 22 maart 2018 vindt de eerste editie van Take Five @ UGent plaats.
Programma:
- Welkom vanaf 17 uur
- Tussen 18 uur en 19 uur: Salongesprekken tussen enkele promotoren en eredoctoren die op Dies Natalis gehuldigd worden.
- professor Freddy Haesebrouck in gesprek met professor Marcelo Gottschalk
- professor Pierre Schoentjes in gesprek met Fatou Diome
- professor Marysa Demoor in gesprek met professor Dame Gillian Beer
- de professoren Annelies Wylleman en Baudewijn Bouckaert in gesprek met Hernando de Soto
- 19 uur: stoofvlees (of vegetarisch stoofvlees) met frietjes
- 20 uur: uitreiking van de UGent-onderscheidingen Minerva, Prometheus en Hermes voor onderwijs, onderzoek en maatschappelijke en wetenschappelijke dienstverlening
- De bar is doorlopend open tot 21 uur.
