Deze tentoonstelling kadert in de feestelijkheden rond de tweehonderdste verjaardag van onze universiteit, en belicht haar rijke geschiedenis en de wisselwerking met de stad Gent. U wordt deskundig rondgeleid door onze decaan, professor Marc Boone. 

We spreken af om 14.00 u. in de inkomhal van het STAM. Wie wil, kan ook om 13.30 u. aan de hoofdingang van het Blandijngebouw verzamelen, we wandelen dan samen naar het STAM.

Hoewel u uiteraard allemaal van harte uitgenodigd bent, wil ik onze collega’s die dit jaar de rangen van de faculteit hebben vervoegd in het bijzonder vragen om hieraan deel te nemen. Het is immers een ideale gelegenheid om de faculteit en de collega’s te leren kennen.

On behalf of the faculty of Arts and Philosophy, I am delighted to invite you to the exhibition ‘City and University, since 1817’. The visit will take place at the Ghent city museum STAM on Friday 1 December 2017 at 14:00.
 
The exhibition is part of the ‘200 years Ghent University’ festivities. It highlights the rich history of the university and looks back at the interaction between the city of Ghent and the university. Professor Marc Boone, dean at our faculty, will guide us through the museum.
 
We meet at the entrance hall of the STAM museum at 14:00. If you wish, you can also join us at the entrance of the Blandijn building at 13:30. From there, we will walk to the STAM museum together.

You are all cordially invited to join us. However, I would like to particularly encourage the faculty members who have joined us this year to participate in this event. The event is, after all, a nice opportunity to know the faculty and colleagues better.
