Wat beweegt u? / What moves you?
Op dinsdag 21 maart kreeg je tussen 7u45 en 9u00 een warm onthaal aan de inrit van de Blandijngarage. Enkele leden van de facultaire werkgroep Milieu begroetten de binnenrijdende automobilisten met de UGent-infokaart “Wat beweegt u?”. Op deze kaart lees je diverse UGent-initiatieven om duurzaam woon-werkverkeer en dienstverplaatsingen te promoten. Kwam je die ochtend met de fiets? Dan kreeg je een warm fietsapplaus, deze infokaart, UGent-fluohesje én appel (foto in bijlage).

On Tuesday 21 March between 7:45 AM and 9:00 AM, staff received a warm welcome at the entrance of the Blandijn parking. Some members of the Environment study group welcomed the entering car drivers with a Ghent University information card entitled “What moves you?”. This card informs staff about several initiatives promoted by Ghent University that encourage staff members to make a sustainable commuting choice. If you came by bike, then you received a warm round of applause, the information card, a fluorescent safety vest and an apple (see attachment).
Kom jij (meestal) te voet, met de fiets, step, rollerblades… en miste je dit warm onthaal? Je kan nog een UGent-fluohesje (maten M, L of XL) verkrijgen in de portiersloge van de Blandijn, bij Tom Goedertier.
Ook de infokaart ‘Wat beweegt u?’ en enkele appels liggen daar voor je klaar.
Zolang de voorraad strekt, kan je dit fluohesje ook afhalen bij de Afdeling Milieu (Rectoraat, Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat 25 – 4e verdieping, 9000 Gent).

Do you (usually) come to work on foot, by bike, by scooter, by inline skates, etc. and did you miss out on all the action? Visit Tom Goedertier at the porter’s lodge at the Blandijn where you can still collect a fluorescent safety vest (Medium, Large or Extra Large size).
You can also collect the safety vests - subject to availability - at the Environment Office (central administration building, Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat 25 – 4th floor, 9000 Ghent).
